Nordstrom Rack to Open Store at Springbrook Prairie Pavilion in Naperville, Ill.

SEATTLE, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced today that it will open a 38,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack store at Springbrook Prairie Pavilion in Naperville, Ill., in fall 2008. The new 270,000-square-foot Springbrook shopping center is scheduled to open in spring 2008.

Nordstrom Rack is the company's off-price retail division offering savings of 30 to 75 percent on apparel, accessories and items for the home for the entire family -- including one of the most extensive collections of name-brand shoes available. Nordstrom Rack merchandise is made up of products from Nordstrom stores and the company's online store at Nordstrom.com, as well as special purchase items.

The Nordstrom Rack store will be the retailer's fifth Rack store in the greater Chicago area. Nordstrom also operates Rack stores at Woodfield Village Green in Schaumburg, Village Square in Northbrook, The Shops at Oakbrook Place in Oakbrook, and The Shops at State and Washington in Chicago.

Springbrook Prairie Pavilion, located on a 27-acre site at the northwest corner of 75th Street and Fort Hill Drive in Naperville, will have a central plaza that can be used for events, programs and other gatherings. Springbrook is being developed by Bond Companies along with its joint venture partner, MDC Properties of Hinsdale.
