Nordstrom Opens Third Store in the Palm Beaches at the Gardens

SEATTLE, March 10, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) opened the doors to its 99th Full-Line Store in Palm Beach Gardens today at The Gardens. As the first customers entered the new, 144,000 square foot store, employees lined the aisles applauding and cheering. Nordstrom at The Gardens marks the third store in the greater Palm Beach area and the seventh store in Florida.

"We are excited to open our new store at The Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens," said TJ Siggelakis, store manager. "For customers who love fashion, we hope to offer a compelling mix of merchandise as well as a convenient location to provide a quality shopping experience."

Nordstrom at The Gardens offers a wide selection of quality shoes, clothing and accessories for women, men and children. The merchandise offering features over 1,600 handbags, 12,900 lipsticks, 9,100 bras, 1,600 ties and 2,000 men's dress shirts. The wide selection includes a designer offering of American and European collections and Nordstrom exclusives such as Faconnable, Classiques Entier, Halogen and Caslon. The store also offers a full-service restaurant, Cafe Bistro, as well as an Ebar (espresso bar). A sampling of services at Nordstrom at The Gardens include Personal Touch (personal shopping), shoe shine stand, a family restroom, and an in-store alterations and tailor shop.

Earlier in the week, Nordstrom celebrated its opening with a gala party to benefit the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, American Heart Association and Ballet Florida. Over 1,700 guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment, a runway fashion show and the opportunity to do some "sneak preview" shopping. The fashionable event raised over $175,000.
