Nordstrom Opens at Fashion Show Las Vegas

New Store Is Retailer's First Full-Line Location in State of Nevada

Nordstrom, one of the nation's leading fashion specialty retailers, opened its 88th full-line store today in Nevada at Fashion Show Las Vegas. Over 400 applauding employees lined the aisles of the 200,000 square foot store to cheer the first customers through the door.

Nordstrom Fashion Show Las Vegas offers three levels of shoes, clothing and accessories for men, women and children. The merchandise offering includes tens of thousands of pairs of shoes; 2,500 men's dress shirts in 46 different sizes; 1,200 neckties; 1,500 different shades of lipstick and lipgloss and 4,500 handbags for day and evening. The store's wide selection includes Nordstrom exclusives such as Faconnable, Classiques Entier, Halogen and Caslon. The store also offers complimentary personal shopping, valet and concierge services, a Marketplace Cafe, an espresso bar, in-store alteration and tailor shops and a shoeshine stand.

Earlier in the week, Nordstrom celebrated its opening with a gala benefit for Opportunity Village and Nevada Ballet Theatre, where guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and live musical entertainment throughout the three-level store. The evening was highlighted by a runway fashion show of American and European designer collections staged in Fashion Show's new Great Hall. The event was expected to raise $300,000 for the two organizations.
