Nordstrom Inc. to Open First Nordstrom Rack Store in Florida

Off-Price Retail Division of Nordstrom to Open at Sawgrass Mills

SEATTLE, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nordstrom Inc. (NYSE: JWN) announced today it will open a 27,000 square foot Nordstrom Rack store at Sawgrass Mills in fall 2003. The Nordstrom Rack is the company's off-price retail division offering merchandise transferred from Nordstrom and Nordstrom Direct, the retailer's catalog and online division, at savings of 50-75% off original prices. Nordstrom Rack also offers a wide selection of quality brand name apparel, shoes and accessories for the entire family. The location in the Oasis at Sawgrass Mills will be the first Nordstrom Rack store to open in the State of Florida.

Sawgrass Mills is located in Sunrise, Fla. at the crossroads of West Sunrise Boulevard and Flamingo Road, just 10 miles west of Fort Lauderdale and approximately 30 minutes from Miami and Palm Beach.

Seattle-based retailer Nordstrom Inc currently operates four full line stores in Florida in Boca Raton, Tampa, Coral Gables and Orlando. The retailer will open a fifth store at the Mall at Wellington Green on November 14, 2003.
